Barbados Natural Latex and Coir Mattress

The Barbados is a luxurious, firm mattress.

It comprises alternating layers of firm, completely natural rubberized coir and pure soft, yielding 100% natural latex, all encased in organic merino wool, with a removable and washable organic cotton cover. The natural latex layers allow the mattress to closely mould to the contours of the body, whilst the rubberised coir layers provide firm support and breathability for luxurious relaxation.

Being a firm and resilient mattress, it is most suitable for those who sleep on their front or back.

Organic Merino Wool

Wool is hypoallergenic. Merino wool is made of the same substance as human skin - keratin, so it doesn't itch! Merino wool is significantly finer than traditional sheep's wool and feels more like silk. Wool is resistant to bacteria, mold, and mildew, which trigger reactions in some people.

Natural wool is not artificially made from crude oil like the synthetics used for most bedding. Wool is great for temperature control – it's warm in cool weather, and cool when it’s warm.

Wool is dust mite repellant. Dust mites living in bedding is one the leading triggers for asthma attacks. This is wonderful news for children and adults with allergies and asthma.

100% Pure Natural Latex

Latex is antimicrobial and dust mite resistant. It is a natural, renewable material an completely biodegradable. Used in mattresses, it is naturally cushioning.

Rubberised Coconut Coir

Coir is a natural fibre extracted from the husk of coconut. Rubberised, it provides structure and support.

Organic Cotton

Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture.

Fleecing: Generously wrapped with 900 g/m2 of organic merino lambswool or 1000g/m2 organic cotton around the core.

Cover: organic cotton drill, removable and washable.

Extra Infomation: Barbados mattresses larger than double size (140x200cm), are delivered as two cores which fit together in one organic cotton cover.
